A useful consultation gives you room to understand your options and decide what feels right for you. You can bring a written list, take notes and ask for more time. These questions are a practical starting point for a conversation with Melia or the Plumerian nursing team.
What is suitable for me, and why?
Ask how your concerns, health history and previous treatments affect the advice you are given. Ask about alternatives, including the option of having no treatment. General information online cannot establish individual suitability.
Who would provide my care?
Ask who will carry out any proposed procedure, their relevant qualifications and experience, and who to contact afterwards. At Plumerian, consultations and care are provided by Melia RN and the Plumerian nursing team. Practitioner availability is shown through our booking system.
What are the risks and recovery considerations?
Ask your practitioner to explain common side effects, less common but significant complications, expected recovery and any follow-up arrangements for the option being discussed. Ask what symptoms need urgent attention and how to access help.
What outcome is realistic?
Discuss the limits of what is being proposed, how outcomes vary and how your progress would be assessed. Ask what happens if you are unhappy with the outcome or further care is needed.
What would it cost, and can I take time to decide?
Ask for a clear explanation of the proposed costs, possible follow-up costs and cancellation terms. You do not need to decide during your consultation. Take the information away and return with further questions if that would help.
