SKIN TREATMENTS

Skin Needling

Skin needling, also known as microneedling or collagen induction therapy, is one of the most effective treatments for refining skin texture, softening scarring, and stimulating your skin’s natural collagen production.

Using a professional grade device with fine needles, we create controlled micro channels that trigger your skin’s own healing response. Over a series of treatments, this process supports the production of collagen and elastin, helping skin look firmer, smoother, and more even.

COMMON CONCERNS

Concerns this treatment can help address.

Acne scarring. Particularly the kind that appears as indentations or texture irregularities. Is one of the most common reasons clients come to us for skin needling. Improvement is typically gradual and requires a course of treatments. We assess your scarring type and skin at consultation.

Skin needling supports natural regeneration of the skin, which can result in a more refined-looking surface. Pores often appear less prominent over a series of sessions. Realistic expectations matter: pore size itself does not change, but the surrounding skin quality often improves.

Fine lines from skin quality concerns (rather than deep dynamic lines) can often improve with skin needling. We assess your skin and discuss whether needling alone is the best approach or whether a combined strategy makes more sense.

Yes. Refining overall skin texture is one of the primary benefits of medical-grade skin needling. Improvement tends to develop over a course of treatments as your skin natural regeneration is supported.

Skin needling can be used on stretch marks, particularly newer ones that still have some colour. Older, established stretch marks are more challenging. We assess your specific concern in consultation and set realistic expectations together.

Most clients see meaningful improvement after a course of 3-6 sessions, spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Specific recommendations depend on your skin, your concern, and how your skin responds. We adjust the plan as we go.

Mild redness on the day of treatment is normal and typically settles within 24-48 hours. Most clients are comfortable returning to their normal routine the day after, with some skincare adjustments. We provide aftercare guidance after every session.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Common questions

A numbing cream is applied before treatment to make sure you’re comfortable. Most clients describe the sensation as a mild prickling or vibration on the skin.

For most concerns we recommend a series of 3 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Significant scarring or pigmentation may benefit from more. We’ll plan it together at your consultation.

Expect redness similar to a mild sunburn for 24-72 hours. Most clients feel comfortable returning to normal activities, with makeup, after 24 hours.

You’ll often notice an immediate skin glow within days. The deeper improvements in texture, scarring, and fine lines develop over 4-12 weeks as your skin’s collagen remodels.

We recommend avoiding makeup for the first 24 hours so the micro-channels can close. After that, mineral-based makeup is fine.

Skin needling is generally well-tolerated across most skin types. We’ll always assess suitability at your consultation, particularly if you have active acne, eczema, or are prone to keloid scarring.
