Forehead and frown lines.

Forehead lines run horizontally across your brow when you raise your eyebrows. Frown lines (also called the 11s) run vertically between the brows when you concentrate or squint. Both start out as dynamic lines that only show up with movement, and gradually become visible at rest as the skin above the muscle thins with time.

Why they happen

The forehead muscles (frontalis and corrugator) contract thousands of times a day. Every expression folds the same delicate skin. UV damage, thinning collagen, dehydration, and genetics accelerate how quickly those folds become permanent. Some of it is unavoidable; a lot of it is manageable.

What we offer at Plumerian

Every skin plan begins with a complimentary thirty-minute consultation with an AHPRA-registered nurse. Depending on your skin, your goals, and how you want to look at rest and in movement, we may talk through:

Facial muscle treatments

The most reliable in-clinic option for dynamic forehead and frown lines. By softening the strength of muscle contraction in this area, the overlying skin folds less each time. Prescription-only and assessed in person. Learn more →

Collagen stimulation

Treatments that trigger the skin to make new collagen and elastin gradually over weeks. A slower, structural improvement suited to skin that is losing firmness. Learn more →

Skin hydration therapy

Injectable hyaluronic acid delivered into the skin to plump, hydrate from within, and improve overall skin quality across a series of sessions. Learn more →

Rejuran

A skin-healing treatment made from polynucleotides that supports the skin’s own repair processes. Improves elasticity and thickness over a course of sessions. Learn more →

Building a skincare routine that supports the result

Skincare alone will not erase established lines, but the right routine slows how quickly new lines set in, softens the look of existing ones, and improves how skin behaves before and after any in-clinic care. For a full evidence-based routine – the four ingredients that do most of the work, what to skip, and what to add – see our clinic guide.
